We are devastated by the tragic death of Dean Holland.
The entire AJ Chambers Racing team wish to send our love, thoughts, and condolences to his partner Lucy, their four kids Harley, Luca, Frankie and Lily, his parents Darren and Belinda, and everyone who knew him.
We, like many in the industry, have been overwhelmed but not surprised by the level of support they have received.
We will ensure they continue to be looked after well into the future.
Dean was loyal, generous, talented and always had the cheekiest of smiles.
He was a brilliant rider and an even better man.
We’ll remember him forever and will always look back fondly on the most special of moments.
We were proud to have Dean as our go-to jockey, no matter where we were racing.
He rode our horses 67 times throughout his career, for a remarkable 15 wins (22.4%) and 18 placings (49.3%), continually going from strength to strength.
Dean achieved city success for our stable with Kev’s Girl and Lady Solly, both proud moments for their respective owners.
His level of dedication towards any task was inspiring and a testament to the man he was.
He is irreplaceable not only as a colleague, but also as a truly great mate and we will miss him dearly.
