All of us involved with the AJ Chambers Racing stable wish to send our condolences to the McConnell family on the recent passing of Ian “Splinta” McConnell.
Splinta was a loyal supporter of our stable from the very beginning as an owner of Blacktein and, more recently, Glenferrie Girl.
It was a proud moment for us all to be on track when Flossy broke her maiden at Dunkeld (main picture).
We will all miss his regular visits, especially the horses, who were lovingly fed Milk Thistles and Apples every time he visited.
